Jubileumdag Nieuw Amsterdams Klarinet Kwartet

On Sunday July 6th from 12:00 to 18:00 the 15th anniversary of the New Amsterdam Clarinet Quartet (NAKK) will take place in Splendor Amsterdam. During this day there will be various activities for clarinetists, clarinet lovers, music lovers and puzzlers of all ages.

Ensembles that include at least one clarinetist can apply to be coached by members of the NAKK. A unique opportunity for amateur musicians to work with the gentlemen of the NAKK and take their playing to a higher level.

There is also the opportunity to participate in The Classical Escape – the very first escape room in the world about classical music! This special project was developed by the NAKK in collaboration with the Royal Concertgebouw and is normally only accessible to school classes. On this NAKK day, everyone will have the chance to experience this musical adventure for themselves and to puzzle their way out of this musical escape room.

Clarinet enthusiasts who do not play themselves are very welcome to come and enjoy the atmosphere and listen to all the beautiful music. The NAKK will perform a short concert at the end of the day (around 5:00 PM), after which the day will be concluded with a pleasant drink.

Admission is free for kNAKKers. The kNAKKers are the musical friends and supporters of the NAKK who make new projects and concerts possible with their financial support. For an amount of at least €50,- per year you become a kNAKKer. All kNAKKers receive a special newsletter with fun background information and have access to the annual kNAKKers activity. Think of a concert, a wine tasting or a workshop on building root clarinets. It is also possible for non-kNAKKers to visit the day, the costs are then €50,- p.p. This gives you access to the workshop, the escape room and the closing concert.
